THE SACRED NAMES ISSUE

Many believe it is important, or even required, that we use and pronounce the Hebrew names for God the Father (i.e., Yahweh, Yahvah) and for Christ (i.e. Yahshua, Yahoshua).  Those who adhere to this doctrine assert, or imply, that speaking these Sacred Names is necessary to obtain salvation, perfect baptism, have prayers answered, or to obey certain laws.

This book reveals the problems and errors with the common arguments used by Sacred Name advocates.    This  material  reveals:
  • The common "Sacred Names" of Yahweh and Yahshua are made up and not the original names for God and Christ.
  • How languages, pronunciations, spellings, and personal names change over time.
  • The Tetragram name for God (YHWH), was connected to the Old Covenant, and thus is not as important  under the New Covenant.
  • The name "Jesus" has a linguistical connection  to the Son's Hebrew name.
  • The history of the Sacred Name movement started in the 1930s by a few obscure church groups.
  • Sacred Name advocates place much emphasis on the meaning of names, yet the name YHWH has no clear and certain meaning.
This topic affects many Biblical passages and important Christian Doctrines, and thus should be given due consideration before committing oneself on it in any way.
